I used to think the KJ only people were full of you know what, until I read this book. Now I see there is a reason for this belief. The translations are based on totally different manuscripts. KJV is based on the Antioch manuscripts which believe in a literal interpretation of scripture. The Alexandrian texts teach an allegorical interpretation and were ignored by the translators of the KJV. I mostly read and quote the NKJV because I believe the language is easier for people to understand, but he condemns this as well because it often refers back to the Alexandrian texts as well. When I have my doubt about the meaning of a text I have an old bible study program, that thankfully still works in newer windows, that gives the Greek or Hebrew definitions. One other thing to mention is that there was no profit margin in the KJV. It's not copyrighted. Every other version of he bible is.
